Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist
Dr. Mendoza received his medical education the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY and his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at the prestigious NYU/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, and Sports Medicine at Rutgers University-New Jersey Medical School.
Dr. Mendoza is a board certified physiatrist and specializes in the non-operative treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal, neurologic, and pain disorders. His approach focuses on the patient as a whole with the ultimate goal improving their quality of life.
Dr. Mendoza uses Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound — imaging techniques that allow physicians to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions and perform injection techniques such as Epidural Steroid Injections (Cervical, Lumbar, Caudal), Facet Injections, Sacroiliac Joint Injections, Radiofrequency Ablation, and Peripheral Joint and Injections (shoulders, hips, knees, carpal tunnel, etc).
